The head of the medical department at Pyramids FC, Dr. Mostafa El-Monayeri, confirmed that El-Shennawy suffered a rib injury during yesterday’s training session at the Air Defense Stadium. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The session was part of the team’s preparations for their upcoming African Champions League clash with South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
El-Shennawy was promptly taken for X-rays at a local hospital, which revealed a fracture in his left rib. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He will now undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program expected to last between three to four weeks. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
