Pyramids FC Squad Announced for Upcoming Champions League Matches

Portuguese manager Jaime Pacheco of Pyramids FC has announced his squad for their upcoming African Champions League group stage matches against Mauritania’s FC Nouadhibou and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.The Egyptian side is set to leave Cairo today, heading to the Mauritanian capital, Nouakchott. They are scheduled to face FC Nouadhibou this coming Saturday in the second round of group stage matches. Immediately following this, they will travel to South Africa for their third-round game against Mamelodi Sundowns. Named in the squad are:Goalkeepers: Ahmed El-Shenawy, Sherif Ekramy, Ahmed Mayhoub.Defenders: Mahmoud Marei, Osama Galal, Ali Gabr, Mohamed Hamdi, Mohamed Chibi, Karim Hafez, Ahmed Fathi, Ahmed Sami. Midfielders: Billel Omrani, Ahmed Tawfik, Ramadan Sobhi, Mohannad Lasheen, Mohamed Reda Bobo, Seif Gaafar, Youssef Osama, Mostafa Fathi. Forwards: Fisron Mayele, Dodo Elgabas, Fakhry Lakay.Notably, Abdullah El-Said and Morocco’s Walid El Karti are expected to join the squad in South Africa. Both players are currently undergoing a rehabilitation programme, with El-Said dealing with fatigue and El Karti recovering from a muscle tear that has kept him sidelined recently.

Pyramids FC Celebrates Its 100th Premier League Victory

Pyramids FC marked their 100th win in the Egyptian Premier League, following a 2-1 victory over Ismaily SC earlier today, Monday, in the 15th round of the competition. This significant milestone comes after the club underwent a name change in 2018. Yesterday’s win over Ismaily SC saw goals from Abdullah El-Said, who scored from the penalty spot, and Fakhry Lakay. With this win, Pyramids FC maintains their top position in the league with a total of 16 points, while Ismaily SC remains in 14th position with 4 points.Next on the agenda for Pyramids FC is a clash with Mauritania’s FC Nouadhibou. The match, taking place next Saturday in the capital Nouakchott, is part of the second round in the first group of the African Champions League.
