Medical Update: Pyramids FC’s El-Shennawy to Miss 3-4 Weeks Due to Rib Fracture

Pyramids FC’s medical staff has announced that goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawy will be sidelined for 3 to 4 weeks due to an injury.

The head of the medical department at Pyramids FC, Dr. Mostafa El-Monayeri, confirmed that El-Shennawy suffered a rib injury during yesterday’s training session at the Air Defense Stadium.

The session was part of the team’s preparations for their upcoming African Champions League clash with South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.

El-Shennawy was promptly taken for X-rays at a local hospital, which revealed a fracture in his left rib.

He will now undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program expected to last between three to four weeks.

Pyramids are scheduled to take on Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Air Defense Stadium, as they continue their campaign in the group stage of the African Champions League.
