Krunoslav Jurčić Named New Head Coach of Pyramids FC

Pyramids FC has officially announced Krunoslav Jurčić as the new technical director for the club’s first football team, signaling a fresh direction for the upcoming period.

Jurčić arrived in Cairo yesterday to finalize his contract with the management of Pyramids FC, including club CEO Mamdouh Eid and director of transfers Amr Bassiouny.

He will lead his first training session with the team this afternoon at the Air Defense Stadium in preparation for his first official match.

The team is set to face Zed FC in the Premier League on the 14th of February at the Cairo International Stadium.

Jurčić brings a remarkable resume as both a former player and a coach. During his playing career, he turned out for several Croatian clubs and had spells with Italian sides Sampdoria and Torino before hanging up his boots in 2002.

As a coach, Jurčić has managed several top-tier clubs, including Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb, and has served as an assistant coach for the Croatian national team. His coaching portfolio extends to Maribor, Adana Demirspor in Turkey, as well as Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia and both Baniyas and Al Nassr in the UAE league.

He also took charge of the Saudi national team during the Gulf Cup held in Kuwait. Among the honors Jurčić has accrued as a coach are three Croatian League titles, one Croatian Cup, and one Croatian Super Cup with Dinamo Zagreb, in addition to a UAE League title with Al Nassr.

Moreover, he has guided Croatian clubs through campaigns in the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League.
