Pyramids Goalkeeper El Shennawy Undergoes Scan for Injury

Pyramids FC’s goalkeeper, Ahmed El Shennawy, underwent an MRI scan on Sunday to determine the extent of an injury sustained during their Egyptian Premier League match against Al Masry. El Shennawy was forced to leave the game due to the injury.

Dr. Mostafa baby El Monayeri, head of the medical team at Pyramids FC, confirmed the scan revealed a strain in the muscle of El Shennawy’s soleus (calf muscle).

The goalkeeper will undergo a treatment and rehabilitation program to ensure a swift return to the team. El Shennawy exited the match at Borg El Arab Stadium after being injured during a play.

Sherif Ekramy replaced him, and Pyramids emerged victorious with a 1-0 win, solidifying their lead at the top of the league table with 44 points.

Pyramids now sets their sights on their next challenge – a clash against Ceramica Cleopatra FC on Wednesday evening at the Air Defense Stadium.

This fixture marks the 23rd round of the Egyptian Premier League season.
