The Egyptian side is set to face Sundowns in an away fixture this coming Sunday, kicking off at 15:00 local time at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria. This match will mark their third appearance in the group stages of the continental tournament.
In a major boost for Pyramids, team captain Abdullah El-Said rejoined the squad following his recovery from a severe cold. El-Said’s illness had previously sidelined him from the second-round match against Nouadhibou.
Today’s rigorous training session, staged at the University of Tuks Stadium in Pretoria, lasted over ninety minutes and saw the full squad in action. The session was a combination of physical conditioning, tactical drills, and a full-field game to test out formations and game strategies.
