He will lead his first training session with the team this afternoon at the Air Defense Stadium in preparation for his first official match. The team is set to face Zed FC in the Premier League on the 14th of February at the Cairo International Stadium. Jurčić brings a remarkable resume as both a former player and a coach. During his playing career, he turned out for several Croatian clubs and had spells with Italian sides Sampdoria and Torino before hanging up his boots in 2002. As a coach, Jurčić has managed several top-tier clubs, including Croatia’s Dinamo Zagreb, and has served as an assistant coach for the Croatian national team.
