Mostafa Fathi began his football career in the 2012/2013 season when he joined Balqas Club. He later transferred to Zamalek and then moved to the Saudi Arabian league in 2017 to play with Al-Taawoun.After his time in Saudi Arabia, Fathi returned to Zamalek in 2018 and had loan spells with Smouha before returning to Zamalek. In the summer of 2022, he joined Pyramids FC on loan, and eventually, the club purchased him permanently in the summer of 2023.Fathi made his international debut for the Egyptian national team in 2015 against Tanzania, representing Egypt in 21 international matches and scoring two goals over a span of eight years.
