Sherif Ekramy has been with Pyramids FC since 2020. He joined the club as a free transfer from Al Ahly, where his father Ekramy El-Shahat was also a goalkeeper.Ekramy was involved with the U-20 national team since the 2001 African Youth Championship and was named Best Goalkeeper in the 2003 tournament. He made his debut for the national team on August 16, 2006, playing in a friendly match against Uruguay in Alexandria.
