Croatian coach Krunoslav Jurčić, head coach of Pyramids FC, affirmed that the team is fully prepared to face Mali’s Djoliba in the CAF Champions League.
He emphasized that the team has worked hard in recent weeks to maintain their strong performance in the tournament, following their 5-0 victory in the opening round against Angola’s Sagrada.
Pyramids FC will play away against Djoliba at 6:00 PM on Sunday at the Stade du 26 Mars in Bamako, the Malian capital, in the second round of the Champions League group stage.
At the press conference, Jurčić noted that he had studied Djoliba’s recent Champions League match against Tunisia’s Esperance.
Despite their 4-0 loss, he recognized that Djoliba is a strong team with talented, predominantly young players.
He acknowledged that the match will be challenging, given it will take place on Djoliba’s home ground in front of their supporters.
Djoliba will undoubtedly be eager to bounce back from their earlier defeat.
Jurčić stressed that Pyramids FC traveled to Mali with one goal: victory.
He underlined that winning is essential to maintaining their momentum in the Champions League.
Despite the absence of key players such as El-Shenawy, Ibrahim Adel, Obama, and Awujoola, he expressed confidence in the team’s ability to secure a win and make significant progress in this prestigious competition.
The coach also dismissed concerns about the team following their recent league loss to Al-Masry, pointing to their strong performances in both the domestic league and the Champions League.
He expressed optimism that the team will improve in the coming stages and is confident in their ability to develop further and compete strongly in all tournaments.
