Morocco’s Football Federation officially notified Pyramids FC about the call-up of their right-back, Mohamed Chibi, to the preliminary squad of the Atlas Lions. The team is gearing up for the World Cup qualifiers in November.
The Moroccan Federation’s letter confirmed Chibi’s inclusion in the preliminary squad. The Moroccan team is scheduled to play their first World Cup qualifying match against Eritrea in Agadir on November 16th. They will then face Tanzania in Dar es Salaam for the second round on November 21st. The international gathering period is set from November 13th to 21st.
Remarkably, the Moroccan team leads the rankings among African national teams. They secured an impressive fourth place in the last World Cup finals in Qatar in 2022, marking an unprecedented historical accomplishment for any Arab or African team.
