Pyramids FC have commenced their initial training session in Nouakchott, the capital of Mauritania, as they gear up for their impending African Champions League clash against Nouadhibou.
The Egyptian outfit is scheduled to face Nouadhibou at the Sheikh Bedia Stadium in Nouakchott, with kick-off set for 6pm local time on Saturday.
This match marks their second encounter in the group stage of the prestigious Champions League tournament.In line with African Union regulations, the training was held on the same artificial turf as their upcoming match, a provision that allows visiting teams to familiarise themselves with the main pitch with two training sessions.
The training was rigorous, with a focus on physical and tactical drills. There’s a palpable sense of optimism within the team, their sights set on securing their second successive win in the group stage.
This comes after their triumphant first-round victory against Congo’s Mazembe, a match that saw them prevail without any retort.
