The Egyptian Olympic team officially qualifies for the 2024 Olympics

The Egyptian Olympic team has officially cut its qualification ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, after qualifying tonight for the final of the U-23 African Cup of Nations held in Morocco. After qualifying for the continental final, the Egyptian Olympic team included one of the cards that qualified directly from the continent of Africa to the Olympics. According to the system of the African Nations Under-23 Championship, the tournament champion and runner-up, and the third-placed team qualify directly for the Olympics, while the fourth-placed team qualifies for two play-off matches against one of the Asian teams, so one of them qualifies for the Olympics. After reaching the final of the African Under-23 Nations held in Morocco, the Egyptian Olympic team secured at least the runner-up position in the tournament, and accordingly qualified for the Paris Olympics, which will be held next summer. The Egyptian Olympic team succeeded in qualifying for the final of the African Nations Under-23 Championship for the second time in a row after it succeeded in the last version in winning the championship title that was held in Egypt in late 2019. It is expected that the Egyptian Olympic team will meet in the final of the African Nations under 23 years with the winner of the other semi-final match, which will start in moments and bring together the teams of Morocco and Mali, noting that the final match will be held on July 8th.
