Lubumbashi, Congo – Pyramids FC will be without the services of defender Ahmed Sami for their CAF Champions League match against Mazembe.
Pyramids will face Mazembe on Saturday at the Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi, Congo, in the fifth round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
Pyramids’ medical staff revealed that Sami suffered a hamstring strain in the final minutes of training on Friday.
The medical staff attempted to get Sami ready for the match, but ultimately decided to rule him out in consultation with the coach, fearing that he could aggravate his injury.
Sami will therefore miss the crucial match.
